Step by step guide: How to import DVD to Final Cut Pro, Get DVD into FCP for further editing?
Step 1. Free download and install DVD to FCP Converter on your computer
Download Intel version 10.8MB PowerPC version 12.1MB
After running this DVD to FCP Converter, click Load DVD or Load IFO button, select a DVD files in the dialog box that opens, and load it. The Loaded DVD video information will be showed in the file list, such as source and original length etc will be showed in the file list.
After you add your movie, you can choose any titles or chapters you want to convert by ticking the check boxes before them. So that you can copy and convert the whole DVD movie or just convert the selected titles or chapters. You can choose to convert certain segment of the DVD movie using trim function.

Step 3. Start to convert DVD to FCP on Mac
When output settings are done, click button to start converting DVD to FCP videos. You can view the progress of converting DVD to FCP video format from the progress bar at the bottom of the window.
Done! Now import the MOV file into Final Cut Pro for editing.
