Is there such thing as “Homeland Security Police” or is this someone impersonating a police officer?
I live in a very rural part of Southern California, and I’ve seen this car driving around a couple times that says “Federal Protective Service Police” and then “Homeland Security Police” in blue on the side of it. It’s a newer White Ford Crown Victoria with an LED Lightbar on the roof so I don’t know what colors the lights are.
If there is such thing as Homeland Security Police, what exactly do they do? What do they “protect”?
Yes, such a force exists. They investigate threats against federal buildings. They may be impersonating a police officer, but it would be a serious felony.
